Abstract

Difficulties in solving a number of important practical problems, for example, problems of large dimensions, lead to a revision of certain provisions of the existing theory and practice of identification. Under these conditions, the asymptotic accuracy of the estimates is not decisive in comparison with the requirement to obtain an approximate solution of the identification problem quickly and at a lower cost. The solution to this problem can be achieved by developing such methods and algorithms that make it possible to obtain estimates of the parameters of high-dimensional models of higher accuracy with a finite number of observations in comparison with known methods and algorithms.
