Sovremennyy uroven' razvitiya vychislitel'noy tekhniki i matematicheskogo modelirovaniya pozvolyayet razrabatyvat' programmnyye sredstva dlya resheniya dostatochno slozhnykh zadach, svyazannykh s chislennymi i analiticheskimi raschetami. V nastoyashcheye vremya nazrela neobkhodimost' rasshirit' sferu primeneniya moshchnykh vychislitel'nykh kompleksov na zadachi geomekhaniki. Chislennoye modelirovaniye v vide programmnykh produktov ne prizvano zamenit' traditsionnyye metody opredeleniya fiziko-mekhanicheskikh svoystv gornykh porod.
