Abstract

Long-distance overhead lines are the least reliable elements of the power system. As statistics show, in medium voltage networks, the annual number of damages is calculated in hundreds, and in subscriber networks powered by it - in thousands. Most of the damage to overhead lines is short circuits and breaks. Both natural and artificial conditions can be the cause of their occurrence. At the same time, the determination of the place of damage (OMP) and the restoration of damaged sections of the power grid are the most complex and time-consuming technological operations.
