Abstract

The development of renewable energy in Kyrgyzstan requires an integrated approach to ensuring the reliability and safety of solar power plants (SES). One of the key factors affecting their smooth operation is protection from lightning discharges. The article examines the features of lightning protection of solar power plants, taking into account the climatic conditions of Kyrgyzstan, analyzes the risks associated with lightning damage to equipment, and suggests effective protection methods. Modern lightning protection technologies are considered, including external and internal protection, grounding systems, as well as the use of surge protection devices.
