Abstract

The paper presents a comprehensive analysis of modern runway airfield lighting systems as objects of automated control in civil aviation. International regulatory requirements governing the design and operation of airfield lighting control systems are reviewed, while the specific operating conditions of these systems in the Republic of Kazakhstan are analyzed. The main limitations of existing control solutions are identified. Prospective directions for the modernization of airfield lighting systems are substantiated, including the implementation of LED lighting technologies, distributed condition monitoring systems, and wireless communication technologies for diagnostic and remote monitoring purposes. The obtained results can be applied in the design and modernization of automated control systems for civil aviation airfield lighting equipment.
