Abstract

Printed microstrip antenna arrays are widely used in wireless communications. Mutual coupling between antenna elements affects the properties of the antenna, so reducing mutual interference and improving isolation are important tasks for radar systems. The article proposes several variants of compact electromagnetic band gap structures (EBG) based on metamaterials. The results of computer simulations have shown that the isolation between antenna elements can be improved using the proposed structures of electromagnetic band gaps.
